Scorecard
Description:
Donald Ross - 1946 plan. Built in 1955. One of the better short holes in Connecticut with a two tier elevated green that is well-guarded by bunkers. The house behind the green offers a beautiful backdrop.
How to Play It:
Position is everything in preparation for your second shot. The fairway is widest just short of the fairway bunker so a 225 yard lay-up shot works best, leaving you 120-145 yards. A long drive must be hit left-to-right, and if successful, will leave less than 100 yards to the green. Take an extra club on your second shot as the hole is more uphill than it looks and you are nearly always playing into the wind. The deep right greenside bunker cuts far back into the green and often catches any sight mis-hits drifting right. Play to the left center of the green unless your iron game is really on. It is best to be slightly long unless the pin is on the front level of the green.
