Description:
Donald Ross - 1917. This is a good driving hole that requires a right to left ball flight. Large willows and a lateral water hazard protect the entire left side. A tee shot only a little to the right will likely end up in the fairway bunker or under the white pines guarding the right side. The pond close in on the left can catch the errant second shot.
How to Play It:
If you can work the ball right to left with your driver, have at it. If that ball flight is easier with a 3-wood or hybrid, you should consider it. The hole generally plays downwind so a long accurate tee shot is rewarded with a short iron. The second shot plays a little shorter that your yardage indicates. This green is hard to read and generally is straighter than it looks.
