Description:
Donald Ross - 1917. This is a great hole from the blue tees and a good short four from the whites. It is left to right with a pond on the left and trees on the right. It is deceptively uphill with a narrow opening into a well bunkered green. The green pitches fairly steeply from back to front and out of bounds is over the green.
How to Play It:
Work your tee shot from left to right and you might be rewarded with a mid to short iron. Don’t get blocked out by the trees on the right. Take more club as the hole is more uphill than it looks and the prevailing wind is against you. As on most holes the bunker trouble is guarding the front third of the green, so any club to the middle is quite good. Still, you should try to keep the ball below the hole on this green.
